Eighteen young leaders have participated in the Kick-Off meeting of the Youth Leadership Academy project that took place on Saturday the 26^th of June 2010 in Al-Hussein Cultural Center, the aims of the meeting were introducing the idea of the project to the participants, introducing the participants to each other, discussing the needs and expectations of the participants, identifying the main themes that will be tackled during the project this year, identifying the main topics that will be discussed in the political meetings this year and developing the project time plan.

The meeting started with a short speech and a brief description of the project by Mrs. Suhad Talabani the Executive Director of the Identity Center, followed by a speech by the Mr. Feras Khierallah the Programs Manager at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
